Marie Peters, WHNP
Marie Peters is one of MANY Nashville transplants, I mean, have you seen ALL the construction cranes downtown? Marie moved to Nashville in 2011 after spending time in Birmingham and Chicago. While getting her nursing degree at Belmont, she discovered her calling and career during a mission trip to Haiti. She loved caring for women, spending time with them and discussing their reproductive health and its impact on the remainder of their quality of life. Seeking more skill and knowledge, she pursued a women’s health nurse practitioner degree at Vanderbilt University. She graduated with honors and newfound knowledge. Prior to working at Women Ob/Gyn, she was a nurse on the high-risk obstetrics unit at Centennial Medical Center and an infertility clinic.
Haiti was just one of fifteen (and counting) countries Marie has visited. She continues to travel during her days off to broaden horizons and find commonality in the human experience. She adores travel and would love to hear what destinations you have enjoyed and what remain on your bucket list. In Nashville, Marie loves to hike with her sweet pup, Toby, exploring greenways, farmer’s markets, and the lovely public parks. Marie loves to fuel her creative side and has taken several classes at local Nashville businesses including classes in photography, creative writing and water coloring. She dedicates herself to caring for women of all ages and is passionate about adolescent health as well as educating women on their contraceptive options.
