Nicole Schlechter, MD, PhD
Dr. Schlechter was born in Cleveland, Ohio and after moving to California, received her undergraduate and Doctorate degrees at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree at Vanderbilt University where she was the medical school’s Founder’s medalist and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her residency at Vanderbilt in 1994 and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1996. She is actively involved in organized medicine having served as the VIce-Chief and then Chief of the Department of OB/Gyn at Saint Thomas Midtown (formerly Baptist Hospital), on the Board of Directors of the Nashville Academy of Medicine and having graduated from the Physician Leadership College of the Tennessee Medical Association. Dr. Schlechter is currently the Vice Chief of the Medical Staff of St. Thomas Midtown.
Dr. Schlechter resides in Nashville with her husband of over 25 years and her two spoiled rotten dogs. She enjoys hiking, travel, exercise and new food experiences. She is an avid reader and is always anxious to discuss a good book with her patients.
